Financial Responsibilities and Practice Administration Duties

  • Identifies behavioral health insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Secures and maintain new patient legal documents
  • Answer patient’s financial and insurance questions
  • Maintain all patient financial files
  • Helps secure credentials for new clinicians on insurance panels and temporary state licenses
  • Completes the required paperwork for ongoing credentialing of clinicians, submitting in timely manner to insurance panels, following up regularly, and providing consistent updates to clinicians
  • Develops and maintains physician/provider enrollment materials
  • Files complete and accurate electronic insurance claims and follows-up denied claims
  • Records EOBs using our online practice management system
  • Manages account payables and posts all payments
  • Emails patients about payments due, and missing patient information
  • Trains new employees and implements new policy procedures,
  • Processing insurance appeals
  • Resolves outstanding invoice problems from past due accounts
  • Communicates effectively with clients, insurance & third-party payers
  • Communicates regularly with clinicians about billing progress and issues
  • Responds to inquiries from clients, insurance & third-party payers
  • Resolve outstanding invoice problems from past due accounts
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
  • Meet periodically with clinicians and administrative staff to address outstanding issues and update on billing processes
  • Trains and works with testing providers to score tests as needed
