Dr. Fabián Aguirre (Dr. Fabián) was trained in a scientist-practitioner model and has extensive experience with applying empirically-based treatments, in particular cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). He has extensive experience treating adults with a wide range of anxiety disorders including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, panic disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, social anxiety, specific phobias, trichotillomania, and body dysmorphic disorder.
He also is trained and experienced in behavior modification, family systems, and interpersonal process therapies. He has treated individuals of all age groups (in Spanish and English) and within a variety of settings such as medical settings, private practices, and specialty clinics.
Dr. Fabián has a thorough understanding of a broad range of assessments, including diagnostics, personality, cognitive, neuropsychological, behavioral, projective, and forensic. Finally, he has served as a clinical teaching assistant where he supervised masters and doctoral students with assessment training and evidence-based treatments in behavior modification and cognitive-behavioral therapy respectively.
